We believe that learning should be fun for all young children and offer a child centred approach, teaching through play and example.
The children are encouraged to develop their creativity, individuality and self-confidence in both the indoor and outdoor environments.
Activities are based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum framework and are in line with OFSTED guidance. We have implemented a new Pre-school curriculum covering a variety of topics and offering learning experiences that develop critical thinkers. These are the current topics we will be covering;
Term 1-This is Me!
Term 2-Let There be Light!
Term 3 -Help! We Need Somebody
Term 4-Let’s Plant a Seed!
Term 5-Yum, Yum in my Tum!
Term 6-Time to Fly!
We supplement our topics with storytelling, Jigsaw Jenie PSHE, Forest school sessions and PE sessions in our school hall. We reflect and review daily to ensure our Pre-school curriculum is meeting the children’s needs and incorporates their interests.
Organisation of sessions–
At our setting, your child is entitled to 15 hours of provision each week (we do not offer 30 hours). We run two sessions daily, Monday to Friday. Sessions are offered in blocks of either all mornings or all afternoons. Your child can only attend one 3 hour session a day.
